A very well rendered piece of digital art! This artist has a lot of technical skills and has applied them well especially to the face, hair and 'head piece' or 'flower' hence why I believe the technique used is 5/5.
This piece is interesting and looking at it I'd like to know more about the character, the impact is 4.5/5 for this reason, just beautiful.
I didn't rate 5 stars for Originality because anime style characters are very popular and I've seen a few this well rendered, however I don't think I see many with hair this beautiful and with such a lovely colour scheme!!
For an improvement on this piece I would suggest spending a little more time on the bottom half of the picture (which is fine really there is nothing 'wrong' with it but compared to the top half isn't quite as good). That is the only suggestion I can make and is very easily overlooked because the face and hair are the focus points.
The colour scheme used for this piece is wonderful (I'd say 5/5), I love the 'feminine' purples used and the contrast of pink/red to blue in the hair. The flower piece giving off a coloured mist is very interesting and adds to this wonderful colour scheme.
The piece has a really great composition of which I would score 5/5 again but dA doesn't ask you about that!!
I like the depth to this picture in regards to foreground (what looks like flying water or electric or something) and background. Especially the white pattern climbing down his face, how wonderful!
Also the shadows/highlighted areas on this piece are well placed, his face looks fantastic because of this!
I would love to see more of this work!!
